In 2025, Torino will host the XXXII edition of the FISU World University Games Winter. The first
Capital of Italy invites you to discover its ancient and modern history: the palaces and the museums,
the parks and tree-lined avenues, the river and the hills, the restaurants and historic coffee houses,
the long colonnaded streets and the multiethnic neighbourhoods. The great events and the many
little pleasures have always made it unique, in a balance between the rational Roman town layout,
the measured splendour of Piemonte baroque and the originality of the modern and contemporary


Torino 2025 announced the Pinguini Tattici Nucleari’s performance for the Closing Ceremony in Lake Placid

It was written in their name that sooner or later they would land on snow and ice. The Pinguini Tattici Nucleari will perform following a speech by Torino’s first citizen Stefano Lo Russo at the Closing Ceremony of the Lake Placid 2023 World University Games Winter, scheduled for January 22 (7:30 p.m. local time, 1:30 a.m. Italian time on January 23) to celebrate the flag handover between the U.S. city and Torino, host of the XXXII FISU Games from January 13-23, 2025.

FISU Games on in Lake Placid! On January 22 the Flag handover to Torino 2025

Italy’s adventure in Lake Placid has begun. The XXXI World University Games Winter, to be held at the venue that hosted the Olympic Games in 1932 and 1980, officially kicks off tonight. The Opening Ceremony is scheduled to take place live at 7 p.m. local time (1 a.m. Italian time) and will be broadcast worldwide and also streamed on the official FISU Tv at this link:
