Torre Pellice, December 12 – The Torch of the Torino 2025 FISU World University Games, scheduled from January 13 to 23, continues its tour of the municipalities hosting the competitions. After Pinerolo, today the “Guarini” arrived in Torre Pellice at the Cotta Morandini Ice Rink.
The event was attended by the Mayor of Torre Pellice, Maurizia Allisio, and Councillor Paolo Giordano, the President of the Unione Montana del Pinerolese, Mauro Vignola, and the Mayor of San Secondo di Pinerolo, Adriana Sadone.
The torchbearers tasked with carrying the “Guarini” included numerous athletes, such as former Olympic athlete Debora Montanari; for the “team hockey” Elisa Cerini, Mattia Gay, Luca Frigo, and Matteo Bellora; Elisa Ribetto from Special Olympics; and Barbara Bonansea, Juventus Women’s First Team and Italian National Team soccer player.
The Torch will continue its journey, visiting all the host municipalities of the FISU World University Games and passing through the competition venues:
- December 17: Pragelato
- December 20: Sestriere
- December 29: Bardonecchia
The Torch will return to Torino on January 13, 2025 for the Opening Ceremony marking the start of the XXXII FISU World University Games.
Tickets are on sale for the Opening Ceremony (January 13 at the Inalpi Arena), short track and figure skating competitions at Palavela, curling and ice hockey events at PalaTazzoli, and the Figure Skating Gala (January 19 at Palavela) on the platform:
