The OPENING CEREMONY of the Torino 2025 FISU Games will kick off on January 13 from 19.30 to 21.30 at the Inalpi Arena, under the artistic direction of Masters of Magic, a company that has revolutionized the art of magic with its innovative performance philosophy, founded by Walter Rolfo in 2008.
The evening will begin with an emotional performance that will take the audience on a symbolic journey from the world to Torino, featuring the renowned musician and global icon, Giovanni Allevi. An introductory video will recount the geographical and cultural journey that brought the Universiade, through Europe and the wonders of Italy, to our city. Following this, an artistic performance will pay a vibrant tribute to sports disciplines.
The Ping Pong Pang, a crew of hip hop dancers, will accompany their energetic movements with the addictive rhythm of the Psycodrummers, a group of percussionists. Also guests of the evening will be Magus Utopia, famous illusionists and World Champions of Magic, who will perform a breathtaking act.
Adding to the evening’s program will be Tony Frebourg, an artist from Cirque du Soleil, presenting a Diabolo act alongside a group of circus performers with spectacular props.
The performance will be enhanced by the participation of dancers and volunteers who will create an extraordinary choreography, culminating in the Oath of the Athletes and the ITOs (International Technical Officials) and the ‘Lighting of the Torch’ ceremony.
Among other guests performing during this exceptional evening will be the renowned Sunshine Gospel Choir and the Grugliasco Flag-Waving Association, who will accompany the athletes’ entrance.
Exceptional torchbearers will carry the flame across the arena, before a luminous drone symbolically takes it into the air to illuminate Piazza Castello, lighting the brazier, a gesture representing change and hope for the future.
