Torino 2025 FISU Games Winter: A Range of Initiatives to Engage Students of All Ages from Piedmont
The SCHOOL PROJECT for the Torino 2025 FISU World University Games has officially begun, in collaboration with the Regional School Office. This project includes a variety of activities designed to engage local schools before and during the FISU Games.
There are four main projects running from now until the Games begin:
Boscoto25
BOSCOTO25 is a project aimed at involving primary schools in all towns hosting events.
The “Bosco Diffuso Torino 2025” project aims to raise awareness in schools about environmental sustainability and to protect the area’s green spaces. This initiative promotes biodiversity, improves air quality, and combats pollution, while creating spaces for relaxation, social interaction, and recreational activities. Students will play an active role by planting selected trees with expert guidance and labelling their plants. Additionally, they will participate in workshops on nature, biodiversity, and plant characteristics.
Before the planting days, each town will host a workshop – organised by the Committee in collaboration with the Corps dei Carabinieri Forestale and the Piedmont Region – to educate children on forest ecology and biodiversity.
Here is the detailed schedule of BOSCOTO25 activities:

TO Art in Motion
The second project, launched in October, is TO Art IN MOTION, aimed at lower secondary schools in the event-hosting towns outside Torino (specifically for first and second-year art students).
This dynamic workshop, held from 21 October to 2 November, inspires students to express themselves artistically. Guided by skilled artists and tutors, students immersed themselves in mural painting, exploring self-expression, and learning the principles of mural creation and the values of sportsmanship.
The artistic project contributes to urban renewal efforts, transforming competition sites into vibrant and attractive areas. It promotes the history, culture, and unique identity of these locations through murals that reflect characteristic elements and symbols of local sports disciplines. The project includes multiple stages: educational workshops to develop skills, sketch development and design, and mural creation.
In Torino, as part of TO Art IN MOTION, participating students will produce graphic and digital artworks, some of which will be selected for use in events and exhibitions organised by the Committee.
Make School (AND SPORT) more sustainable
The third initiative is the national competition MAKE SCHOOL (AND SPORT) MORE SUSTAINABLE, aimed at upper secondary schools (3rd and 4th years). This contest focuses on creating video lessons (with support from sector-specific tutors) centred around three main themes: redesigning spaces, exploring new technologies, and engaging with businesses – all with a focus on sports sustainability (aligning with the Agenda 2030 Goal 3).
This project uses sports as a tool to enhance young people’s engagement in learning and social interactions, with particular attention to environmental and advanced technological aspects.
To join this project, schools must register on the dedicated platform:
