Biathlon has been part of the winter programme of the World University Games since the 1983 Universiade in Sofia (Bulgaria), and this sport, with its training difficulties, excitement and fascination that distinguish it, always guarantees a real show.
At the FISU Games in Turin 2025, the shooting range will breathe new life into the Pragelato Rua sports facility, where the Ski Jumping competitions were held in 2006. Right there, where the ski jumps rise into the sky like a silent memory, a biathlon training centre will be created, and this facility will celebrate its first success with the FISU Games 2025.
Athletes from 20 nations will take part in the biathlon. In the past, great champions have stamped their name in the history of this sport: among them also FISU Director Milan Augustin and Ubaldo Prucker, Sports Director of the Organising Committee, can look back on a long and successful career in this discipline.
