When the 2009 Universiade took place in Harbin, Li Nina was already a two-time world champion and silver medallist at the Winter Olympics in Turin. The Chinese, who was one of the best in the world in the Aerial speciality, soon also became the best student-athlete in her discipline in her country.
Aerial is part of the optional programme of the FISU World University Games Winter, but the Moguls, Dual Moguls, Ski-Cross, Slopestyle and Big Air disciplines are no less attractive. They will all be held in Bardonecchia: the Moguls will take place at Campo Smith, while Ski-Cross, Slopestyle and Big Air will be held at the Melezet Sellette Snow Park.
In total, participants from 21 countries are expected in Piedmont, and young stars and champions already known to the general public will certainly shine on the slopes of Bardonecchia.
